Sound Healing is no longer an unfamiliar concept in Vietnam. However, a Concert where there is not only energy but also artistry, professionalism, and opens up a promising path may be a “golden opportunity” for both the public and those pursuing and practicing sound-based therapies for healing.
The organizers of this program would like to keep some English words unchanged, such as: healing or healer.
Heal (or healing) refers to “self-healing,” encompassing a process that comes from the miraculous abilities within each individual. “Chữa lành” sounds pleasant and has become familiar, yet it does not fully capture the meaning of heal or healing. Healer refers to one who heals, a healing practitioner, and thus carries a somewhat relative meaning when translated.
We wish to use the term “sound healing practitioner” to refer to those who practice sound therapies that help people and lives activate their inherent self-healing capabilities.
So what is a “Sound Healing Concert”? What experiences does it bring, and what significance does it hold for sound healing practitioners?
Firstly, it must be affirmed that the effort to create a sound healing concert for the first time in Vietnam is not a short path.
A true Concert involves meticulous preparation, a journey, and a moving story that awakens through sound and music.
Artists, masters, and top sound healing practitioners such as: Ani Choying Drolma, Master Santa Ratna Shakya, saxophonist Trần Mạnh Tuấn, young artist Ngô Hồng Quang... do not only present performances.
They practice on stage and accompany everyone present at the Concert. The Sound Healing Concert not only gathers world-renowned artists and artisans but also invites Vietnamese artists whose lives and music serve as a “healing song,” as well as young Vietnamese artists and diligent sound healing practitioners over the years who embody both labor and creativity.
The Sound Healing Concert does not stop at just two nights of performances. A door has been opened, and the path ahead presents a golden opportunity for Vietnamese Sound Healers, for the public embracing this healing music genre, and for this sound flow for the consciousness.
